The primary difference between a BSc Physiotherapy and a Diploma in Physiotherapy lies in the duration, depth of study, and career opportunities.

A BSc in Physiotherapy is a 3-year UG degree that provides comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge, covering advanced subjects like biomechanics, neurology, and rehabilitation.

In contrast, a Diploma in Physiotherapy is a 2-3 year programme focusing on physiotherapy and practical skills, offering a quicker entry into the workforce.

However, career growth and opportunities for higher studies are typically more extensive for BSc graduates than Diploma holders.

No, most universities and colleges in India do not conduct entrance exams for BSc Physiotherapy admissions. Admission is generally based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, usually the 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. Some institutions may have a personal interview or counselling session as part of the selection process.

BSc Physiotherapy course graduates are not medical doctors but are highly skilled healthcare professionals. They do not hold an MBBS degree needed to be called as 'Doctors' in a traditional sense.
