Hello friend,
B.Sc. in Nautical Science is a 3 years long course that has been divided into 6 semesters, each lasting 6 months. After completion of the course, the candidate should undergo the 1 year long sea service. After the sea service and clearing the subsequent oral examination, the candidate could obtain the second mates Foreign-going Certificate of Competency. This certificate will enable one to hold the post of Navigation Officer on Merchant Navy ships.

Hey!
If you want to pursue other courses than M.Sc. than you can go for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, BOT, etc.
These are good options other than M.Sc for shaping the career.
