For admission in B.Sc Zoology, the students should have passed 12th standard in the Science stream with Biology, Chemistry, and generally Physics. A minimum of 50–60% marks will be sufficient, as it varies from institution to institution. The key subject for eligibility is Biology, and English can also be mandatory in some of the colleges.

They can assist television channels like National Geographic or Discovery with their knowledge, be an ally to nature by becoming an ecologist or nature conservation officer, or provide services as veterinary doctors, medical representatives, or animal educators.

If a candidate wants to pursue B.Sc. in Zoology, they will have to clear six semesters over three years. They will be marked on theoretical examinations, practical examinations, internal assessments, assignments, and viva. Similarly, If a candidate wants to pursue M.Sc. in Zoology after BSc Zoology, they will have to clear four semesters over two years. The general examination pattern will be similar to that of B.Sc. in Zoology.
