For studying the BTech Automobile Engg. course, you should start by going through the eligibility criteria at your desired colleges. The basic eligibility is to have at least 50 to 60% marks in the PCM subjects in Class 12 board exams.
The next step is to give relevant entrance tests and get very good marks in the same. Some colleges also give merit-based admissions and take the GD or PI rounds for selection. You should get very good marks in Class 12 as the merit cutoffs are quite high.

The duration of BTech Automobile Engineering course is usually 4 years in India. Almost all of the colleges in India offer 4-year long BTech courses. The only exception is for lateral-entry and integrated BTech-MTech courses that are have a time span of 3 years and 5 years respectively.
