Almost all of the colleges have a marks relaxation policy in place for students who belong to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/PwD. The usual relaxation in marks is 5%, which can differ from one college to another.
For example, if a college asks for 60% marks in Class 12 exams from general category students, the reserved categories will have to get 55% to become eligible for admission. The relaxation policy is also applicable in the entrance exam cutoffs.
You can check the official college websites for more information about the BTech Biochemical Engineering admission process and relaxation policies.
