Maths is a must need for every IT courses. You should have pursued mathematics in high school in order to be eligible for admission into B.Tech but in BCA you can get admission even without maths in +2. If you are weak then I highly recommended you to start studying maths and put in extra effort in order to get good. You should even get coaching classes for mathematics also, because maths is highly recommended for programming.

For admission in B.Tech CSE, you need to have 50% with mandatory subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Admissions are made through single window counseling based on TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) merit list, which is prepared on the basis of class 12th score.

NIFT is no.1 institution for fashion technology go for it. One should choose M.FTech only if they have ample interest in Apparel/Textile & Fashion industries. It is mostly about Apparel/Textile production. It deals with the technical aspects of Garment/Textile industry, in addition with brushes of knowledge about fashion industry. If one has a B.Tech background, it will be much better. If you get one of the top centres, placement will not be a problem. You should not keep high expectations as you may get started with just 4-5 LPA. Career growth is not an issue for people with appetite for success. After few years of experience, things

B.Tech -CSE from JIIT Noida will be better than one year drop. The reason is quite simple that there are majority of people who join JIIT Noida after taking a drop. So, you need not to take a drop then.

Everything depends upon your performance. If you're good in your stream, if you've Masters knowledge about it, you can always excel. Then a college really doesn't matter.
All the best.

Hello Hartej,
I am there again to answer your query. I am attaching the link that will give you the differences between IT and CSE. Even though the information in the link is as old as 2014 it is still relevant and current as of today. You will come to know in detail the differences once you read the contents of the link and hence I will not waste your time in reading my answer to your query. Now when we come to higher salary it's a different ball game altogether. It's all the question of demand and supply.
