Basic computer knowledge is required but it is not mandatory to pursue CSE to have computer science as one of the subject in higher studies. So go for that and all the best for your future endeavors.

Getting admission in DTU is easy as compared to other government colleges, you are supposed to get 150+ in JEE Mains and you are supposed to have more than 60% in your class 12th board.

Hi,
I would suggest that you keep your options open and not restrict yourself location wise. Thapar Institute for engineering and technology is a good college with a stable and nice placement records and well versed faculty. My brother is currently studying there and he is always excited by the opportunities the place has to offer. In Indian context : not much difference. All the companies which allow CSE also allow IT. So join any of the stream that you get.
