Yes, for Future. Especially if you are interested in doing research jobs or going aboard for higher studies. But if you want to look for immediate rewards, like programming jobs after graduations with fat salary, then you may feel that you have wasted your precious time in doing research which is not useful for programming jobs immediately. But if you look forward beyond 5 years from now than the skills you develop in the past years will be more useful in long run as programming skills may get outdated.

Yes you can do higher studies in whatever branch you have interest, it doesn't depend on from which branch you have done your B.Tech. I hope it helps.

In general, None of the courses are good or poor, thus in terms of the courses themselves, I must state that. Although there are chances in agriculture, it is an excellent area that requires hard work. Every field offers fantastic opportunities.

Hi Anurag, B.Tech. In fire and safety has excellent career prospects in India. Due of a low supply and a high demand. These days, not all colleges offer fire and safety engineers. So, you should definitely look for a better college with high placement prospects if you are truly interested in this subject.

Hello, Mainak Obviously, there may be a lot of factors to take into account while selecting a branch (stream) for a B.Tech. You must select the stream based on your interests. It is entirely up to you to choose whatever stream you wish to pursue a career in; no branch is more or less significant than another. For example, excellent engineers are in high demand, so if you're completely serious about securing a brighter future and putting equal effort into it, you will undoubtedly be successful.

In computer Science branch you only deals with the computer. I. e. the motive of this branch is to make you the master in Computers! Basically in this branch you learn to develop software and applications. Basically you only deal with the software not with the hardware parts and items you have in computer. EC you deals with software as well as with the hardware parts of the computer system. Both are same in there domain.
