B.Tech Scope

As a LPU faculty I would recommend LPU for B.Tech CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities. Students can contact them anytime for their study purpose. The latest teaching methods are used in the classroom. Curriculum in CSE branch is very well designed such that they can learn everything from basics to the in-depth knowledge of their field. The College takes them for the industrial visit for more growth and experience. It hands on experience by also working on live projects to develop a sense of problem-solving and critical thinking in order to gain real-life understanding along with skill enhancement. In addition to core curriculum, the course offers subjects like communication and soft skills to enhance personality. From Google to Microsoft to Apple, Computer Science students of LPU are working with hundreds of leading IT giants of the world. CSE/IT students secured salary package of up to Rs42 LPA and placement opportunities from companies like Amazon, Adobe, Bosch Engineering, VMware, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Kony India, SAP Labs, Schneider Electric India, HP India, LG Soft India, ITC Infotech, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, KPIT, Morgan Stanley, Drishti Soft Solutions, etc. The highest Package Availed by Engineering (CSE) Student MS Tanya Arora is 42 LPA for batch 2019 by Microsoft. Yes, you can apply for government job, but it is not easy to crack any government exam, it required hard work and great dedication as the competition is so high. On the other hand if you had done civil engineering from LPU, you can get placed in MNCs. LPU has gained an illustrious position in NIRF-2020 Rankings and current Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, where in the later, it is included among only 3 Indian Universities ranked in the top 200 universities of the world. First and foremost, you have to understand that there is no point comparing M.Tech and MBA courses. Both are specialised degrees and have value in their respective grounds. Both M.Tech and MBA provide excellent career options and have gained importance over the time. M.Tech or MBA is always an additional advantage to an engineer whether it is in terms of experience, knowledge or seniority. Whether it be an IT, manufacturing, or R&D driven establishment, there would be requirements for both M. Techs and MBAs. The M. Techs would be more of a subject matter specialist, whereas the MBAs would handle product sales and marketing, project management, IT process, human resources, consulting and customer service management etc. Doing M.Tech in a particular field would make you invaluable for a company that has business profile of that field. Being an MBA on other hand will give you a totally different business perspective and is much broader in scope. So just measure your Interest and then make a choice !
Preferably, you should make the choice on the basis of your career goals, capabilities and interests. In case you want to continue your career in technical field, then M.Tech is the right choice for you. After this you can even switch to research or teaching. But if you want to work in the corporate sector, then MBA is the way to go. It is a management course and hence would enhance your managerial, leadership presentation and communication skills etc. I had done my B.Tech. MBA with dual specialisation from globally renowned Lovely Professional University since my career pathway is core Management segment. Because after MBA you get the entry to the field of business and administration where you can go in for options like marketing, sales, human resources and operation management. Dear Neelesh, The best courses after B.Tech in Civil are M.Tech and MBA. I have many friends who have done MBA after Civil engineering as per their interest. However, a few did M.Tech who has a keen interest in the construction field. Being alumni of LPU, I recommend LPU for both MBA and M.Tech. Dear Pooja, First of all, there is no gender discrimination in the field of education and job, in fact, nowadays girls are pursuing Civil and Mechanical engineering. You can choose M.Tech if you want to be a teacher in the future else you can go for a job in the private or public sector. My friend did B.Tech and M.Tech from LPU and now working as an Assistant Professor in a college. The following are the highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: -
