Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham BTech admission form can be submitted via online mode. An application is successfully submitted only after the application fee payment. Further, the step-by-step process to fill out the online application form is as follows:

Step 1: Visit the Amrita official website.

Step 2: Fill out the required personal details such as Name, Address, Contact details, etc.

Step 3: Select the course and then pay the application fee.

Step 4: Upload the required documents.

Admission to Amrita University BTech courses is through JEE Main and Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE). Candidates with a valid score in either of the examination can apply. To declare the names of selected candidates, the university will release a merit list containing the names of the students that fulfill both the selection and eligibility criteria for the BTech admissions.

No, Amrita University does not offer lateral entry to its BTech programmes. In its the latest brochure, no such information is provided. For more clarity regarding the same, students are advised to reach out to the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham admission office. Amrita University accept applications for only the students who fulfil the eligibility requirements. Thus, a candidate must be a Class 12 or equivalent pass from a recognised board with at least 55% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics separately and should have secured at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Additionally, candidates should hold the mark sheet and pass certificate as well at the time of form filling and admission confirmation. Final selection for BTech (Biotechnology and Bioinformatics) is based on merit score obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the University. The entrance test will be of one and a half hours duration. There will be one question paper containing 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Students having a valid score in JEE Main/ MHT CET will be exempted to take University-based exam. Also, admission to the BTech (Engineering) is done through qualifying JEE Main/ MHT CET exams.
