COEP College of Engineering Pune admissions 2025 are expected to open soon. A few more updates are given below:

The MAT CBT July 2025 registrations are open, and the last date to register is Jul 14, 2025. Furthermore, the MAT CBT July 2025 exam will be held on Jul 20, 2025, and the results will be declared by Jul 24, 2025.
The GATE CCMT 2025 Round 2 seat allotment results for admission to MTech/MArch/MPlan courses will be released on Jun 21, 2025.
The CMAT 2026 registration window for admission to the MBA, PGDM, and MMS courses is anticipated to open in the second week of Nov 2025.
The MAH MBA CET result 2025 has been released for admission to MBA/PGDM and MMS courses. Candidates who appeared in the exam can check and download their scorecards by using login details from the official CET Cell website.
The CAT 2025 application process for admission to the MBA/PGDM courses is expected to begin in Aug 2025. Furthermore, the CAT 2025 exam will be held tentatively on Nov 30, 2025.
The MHT CET 2025 results have been declared for admission to BE/BTech and Integrated BTech courses. Candidates can access their results on the official website of CET Cell by using their login credentials.

COEP Highlights 2025

COEP Pune was established in 1854 and now is known as COEP Technological University. Located in Pune, the unitary public university of the government of Maharashtra, through 14 departments, offers UG, PG, and PhD courses to students. These courses are provided across Management, Planning, and various other streams. The university is accredited by the NBA and is ranked 77 by NIRF 2024 under the Engineering category. COEP Pune offers flagship courses such as BTech and MTech.

College of Engineering Pune intakes COEP admissions through various national/ state-level entrance exam scores, such as MHT-CET, MAH-CET, GATE, JEE-Main, etc., among others followed by counselling under the entrance exams. The highest and average package offered during COEP Pune UG placements 2023 stood at INR 50.5 LPA and INR 11.35 LPA, respectively.

History of COEP: COEP was established in 1854 as The Poona Engineering Class and Mechanical School within a small space. COEP Technological University is recognized as Asia's 3rd oldest Engineering college. Since its early days, The Poona Engineering Class and Mechanical School evolved into College of Engineering Pune, and is now known as COEP Technological University, Pune.

COEP Course Diversity: COEP offers a large collection of Engineering courses to students in different specializations. These include UG, PG, and PhD courses. These programs are offered through the 14 distinct departments at COEP Tech that offer the flagship BTech and MTech courses. Q: How can I get admission in Pune engineering college?

To get admission in Pune Engineering College, candidates must qualify the cousre-wise entrance exama. Candisdates must follow the COEP Pune admission procedure to get admission in all the offered cousres:

Step 1: COEP Pune Application Process

Candidates seeking admission to the UG and PG courses must have a valid score in the course wise entrance exams. Therefore, candidates must register and complete the application form by visiting the entrance exam's official website. Candidates must also register in the COEP's official website for admission and fill out the online application form.

Step 2: COEP Pune Selection Criteria

Candidates based on their scores in the courses wise entrance exams will be shortlisted for the counselling process.Candidates are required to register themselves for the course-wise counselling process as well.

Step 3: COEP Pune Merit list

On successful completion of the counselling process, based on the entrance exam score, and academic performance, a merit list will be released. The merit list will shortlist candidates for the final admission round.

Stepp 4: COEP Final Admission

Candidates whose names are listed in the merit list will be eligible to pay the admission fee and document verification. Candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at COEP Pune for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

No, there is no such provision to get direct admission in any of the UG, PG, or doctoral courses. COEP Technological University (formerly known as COEP) admissions are strictly based on merit only. Interested candidates have to take the GATE (Gratitude Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam which is conducted by any one of IITs. GATE is a computer-based examination (CBT) whose duration is 3 hours.
After this, the candidates will get their ranks based on their scores/marks in their GATE exams.
