Aliah University does have BTech seat reservations for students belonging to the special category. The seat reservation policy is as per the government of the state for special category candidates. Around 4 % of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the PC/PwD category, and 5% of seats fall under the disability reservation.

Yes, the application process for BTech courses through WBJEE and AUAT is different. In case candidates are applying for the course through WBJEE, they are required to appear for the WBJEE counselling process and select Aliah University as their preferred choice. Moreover, while applying through AUAT, candidates must qualify for the basic eligibility criteria according to BTech specialisation and register for the course and entrance examination through the official website of the university. To secure seat at IIT Bombay for CSE, students should obtain rank as per the cutoff list. For BTech CSE admission, cutoff was 23 for EWS All India category candidates. Therefore, they should get a rank of 23 or below to secure a seat as per the last round cutoff list.

All admission to the BTech course at Aliah University through AUAT-2025 is always provisional. Further, the admission confirmation is subject to the verification of particulars from the original mark sheets/ grade card and other documents of the candidates. Some of the required documents are as follows:
- Admit Card
- Rank Card
- Online admission receipt/ payment receipt
- Admission Form with passport size photo attached
- Original Class 10, 12 marksheets & certificates
- Admit card of Class 10
- Proof of age: 10th standard admit card & certificate/birth certificate
- PC/PwD certificate in original (where applicable)
- Migration certificate
- Transfer
