The minimum criteria one has to fulfill in order to pursue a course in biotechnology is listed below. You can check for your eligibility regarding this course from the criteria mentioned below:
1) A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) at both Higher Secondary and Senior Secondary (classes X and XII) levels.
2) Biology, Physics & Chemistry as main subjects at 10+2 level, with a minimum aggregate score of 60%in these three.

Hi Nivedita, The candidate must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications to be considered eligible for admissions in NID:
Bachelor's degree of minimum 4-year duration in any specialisation, after 10+2 system, from any university or institute recognised by law in India.
Condition: Applicant must (have passed/have appeared for/be appearing for) the Bachelor degree examinations before July 2018.
or
Bachelor's degree of minimum 3-year duration in any specialisation, under the 10+2 system.
Condition: Applicants must have passed the Bachelor degree examinations before July 2017.
or
Full-time Diploma of minimum 4-year duratio

Hello Raman, It's indeed great to have dream of studying abroad. But abroad, Diploma will be of no use. If you have done 12th, then you can seek admission in an undergraduate course. Else I suggest, you seek lateral admission in an engineering college, complete it and then go abroad for MS.
