Though all the colleges have different requirements for different courses. Generally speaking, it is possible. Yes, you can do MA sociology without a BA sociology. Make sure to confirm that on the college website.

Some colleges may prefer graduation in relevant subjects like political science, psychology, history, or other arts and humanities fields.

Both BHU and DU are prestigious, but your choice depends on personal preferences:

BHU: Known for traditional values, strong research, and a peaceful campus. It's affordable with a cultural focus in Varanasi. 

DU: Cosmopolitan, with diverse programs, better networking, and placement opportunities in Delhi's urban environment, though costlier.

Choose BHU for a traditional, research-focused environment and DU for exposure, diversity, and better job prospects in a fast-paced city.

FMS BHU MBA selection process begins with shortlisting applicants based on their CAT/ BHUPET/ CUET- PG percentile. In the past three years, the minimum CAT percentile required for admission to MBA at BHU was 85 percentile for general category. Further, the shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the GDPI round. The final seat allotment is done based on the following criterias:

BHU fees for BA (H) range between INR 5,870 and INR 11,890. This fee range include BA (Hons) course fee in the affiliated colleges as well.The hostel fee structure for BHU is INR 3,000 - INR 4,000 per semester depending upon the degree. The hostel fee does not include mess charges. Banaras Hindu University is spread across a 1,300-acre campus. There are 41 hostels for boys and 21 for girls.It is one of the most reputed universities in India. I'd say that if you are planning to pursue BA, and considering BHU as an option, it will be really good
