GIBS considers exam scores as an indication of a candidate's suitability for an MBA program, while GIBS also evaluates applicants' overall scores (percentile scores) rather than section cut-offs. Applicants who achieve the minimum cut-off (60–65 percentile) will be invited to participate in the next round of selection processes. The exam scores will serve as an initial screen to allow GIBS to assess the academic readiness of its MBA applicants for management studies and to provide a basis for a candidate's assessment via a combination of other assessment methods (group discussion, personal interview, and written assessment).
