Yes, you can pursue MBA in any specialisation regardless of any commerce background. Students from various fields like B.Tech CSE, B.Tech mechanical and many other pursue MBA. But one must clear an equivalent test for admission. One must have a good percentile or rank in CMAT, XAT or CAT. In some private universities these test are not compulsory, they have their own test for eligibility and sometimes these CAT like test are used for giving scholarship according to rank and score.

Hey Shelly,
For doing MBA in Finance you need to decide if it is PGDM or MMS you want to go for. So the exams you can appear are CAT, CET, CMAT, NMAT, XAT, SNAP, CMAT, MAT or ATMA. Some of the exams are college specific like NMAT for NMIMS, XAT for XLRI and SNAP for symbiosis.
For PGDM you can appear among any of the exams mentioned above (still check college wise individually) but for MMS CET is the exam you need to appear.

Finance as a major for studies hasn't picked up in India, so there are only a handful of colleges/B-Schools that offer an MS in Finance. The colleges are (in order of what I feel should be their ranking):
1. JBIMS, MumbaiCourse M.Sc. FinanceLocated in the financial capital of India and having the first mover advantage, it is currently the best option available in India. Placement - the highest CTC - 21.5 lacks, Average CTC - 16.3 lacks (2015-17 Batch)
2. SVKM'S NMIMS, MumbaiCourse M.Sc. FinanceThis course was started in 2017 and is relatively unknown, has a lot of potential given the NMIMS brand name.
3. Gokhale Institute of Politics and

Hi friend,
ITM, Chennai is not good. You can think ITM Navi Mumbai if sales job profile is your goal or give MAT once again to get a level few top colleges where you do not need to ask these questions. Make a linkedin profile to chat with alumni of your favourite field of job (Sales, HR, Financial product sales, Core finance) to get the exact picture of job stability and salary in hand (do not rush behind CTC annual package as this is not your take home; be clever for difference Google this) Remember 100% placement guarantee does not make any sense without job stability or if you are in 'bulk hire and fire' YoY profile.
