BCA Eligibility

Yes, students who have obtained their BCA degrees from IIHS Ghaziabad are eligible for various job opportunities in the public sector. This happens because pursuing a BCA programme equips students with necessary employability skills.

To secure a government job, students may be required to take various government exams, such as the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Exams, UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Exams, etc. 

Some of the popular job roles pursued by BCA graduates include Software Developer, System Administrator, Network Administrator, Data Analyst, etc. In the government sector, students can expect to get a salary ranging from INR 5 LPA to INR 6 LPA.

Students who passed Class 12 (Higher Secondary) from a recognised board alongside meeting specific subject requirements can pursue a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) at Bankura University. A subject combination of Mathematics with Computer Science or Statistics as one of the two topics is required to complete class 10+2 before admission. The required minimum cumulative score for admissions stands at 45 to 50 percent for students in the general category and 40 to 45 percent for students in the reserved category groups including SC/ST/OBC.

Students qualify for admission through examination results with a potential existence of government-established reservation policies. Candidates need to check for new information involving the admission process and document requirements and seat availability during the current academic year.

Candidates who wish to apply for the BCA course must complete Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as subjects are eligible to enroll in the BCA course. However, students from other streams like Commerce and Arts can also apply with a minimum of 55% in their Class 12 grade. Candidates awaiting final year results can also apply. Additionally, the institute considers the merit in the last qualifying exam to shortlist candidates for admission.
