Syllabus of BCA and B.Sc IT is similar up to 80 to 90% in various universities. Courses on Computer languages, data structure, databases, and networking etc are common. BCA degree course program is primarily focused on in the field of Computer Applications, whereas B.Sc IT degree program primarily focused on subjects with more mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasizing specific technologies. Market acceptance of BCA is little more in comparison to B.Sc IT. There are multiple job opportunities available in the field of IT for BCA & MCA graduates as developer or testers. As per NASSCOM, Indian IT Industry revenues grew by 13% in FY2015 and it added 2,30,000 employees in FY'15. NASSCOM has forecasted that IT industry exports will grow by 12-14% and domestic market by 15-17% in FY'2016. IT field has still excellent career opportunities.

Commerce stream students can do BCA provided they have mathematics in class 12th. Very limited universities such as IGNOU allows students to do BCA, even if they do not have mathematics in class 12th.

You need to complete your BCA with 70% to 80% marks to get a decent university in USA. Secondly, if you want to take MBA, you have to give GMAT or if you want to go in engineering then you have to score well in GRE. Thirdly, it is compulsory to give and clear TOEFL paper for English language proficiency.
