Syllabus of BCA and B.Sc IT is similar up to 80 to 90% in various universities. Courses on computer languages, data structure, databases, and networking etc. are common. BCA degree course program is primarily focused on in the field of Computer Applications, whereas B.Sc IT degree program primarily focused on subjects with more mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasizing specific technologies. After MCA you will get job of Software Developer/Engineer or Tester job in IT companies and IT department of Government/ PSU/Banks/Business Enterprises. You can also teach in schools. In addition, you will be eligible for all types of government, PSU, bank, defense services and paramilitary forces where eligibility criteria is graduation degree.

BCA at IGNOU is similar to any other institute's BCA. BCA at IGNOU is not tough, if you study well as IGNOU provides very good self-learning course material to enhance students learning.
