In order to be eligible for the course, the student must attain a minimum of 50% in the 10+2 qualifying examination. Candidates have to pass a recognised Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology.

For admission in a BDS programme at Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, it is crucial that the aspirant fulfills the course-specific eligibility criteria. Thus, only the asiprants who have passed Class 12 with at least Class 12 with a 45% aggregate (40% SC/ST) and must pass Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a 50% aggregate are eligible for admission. In addition, student should have passed the qualifying examination from a recognised board. Candidate must also hold the Class 12 mark sheet during application form filling and at the time of admission for verification purposes.
