BFA

BFA is an undergraduate degree that offers many interesting and creative subjects to students. It can be pursued as a full time or a part time course and some institutes also provide BFA through correspondence. BFA comprises two major courses - Performing Arts and Visual Arts.

Specializations like Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Animation, etc. Come under Visual Arts whereas Performing Arts consists of subjects like Drama, Theatre, Dance, and Music. BFA is focused more on the art discipline along with the technicality as well as the application of any form of applied art. Students who aspire to become artists, painters, actors, dancers, musicians, etc. Should pursue this course. While B. Des is very different from BFA in all respects. Apart from some specializations, the two programmes hardly have anything in common.

In fact, the curriculum of the specializations also varies for both the degrees. The degree of B. Des lays emphasis on the knowledge, practice, and development of design. It is inclined towards specializations such as fashion design, interior design, accessory design, and product design. So B. Des is better than BFA.
