Hello! Himadri Basu, it is very nice to hear from you about enquiry of cutoff ranks or enquiry about possibilities of getting the branches you mention with ranking of about 1.2 Lacs. To put you into a proper perspective let me say that the first round closing rank for CSE was 7000 while for the other branches that you have mention it varies and is up to about 14000. This does not mean that you will not get admission, it only means that you need to wait for vacancies to arise as students who are in the better position leave for IIT or nits and then the students who have scored less get a chance for admission with lower scores. Hello Anushka, MANIT is a premier Institute in the country. It has great tradition and is also known for good academics. Placements are also quite good at this Institute. Due to all these factors closing ranks of many courses of studies are quite low. Starting from 12000 in some courses to 25000 in some others. However, theoretically speaking the last student who got admission had a ranking of about 38000 last year. If we consider a similar trend this year then you will get admission to this Institute. How far it is always better to be on the safer side and I would request you to aim for a ranking of about 15000 in JEE Mains for almost surety of admission in one of the main branches. I am sure you can achieve this since there is still plenty of time to polish whatever you had studied till now for this entrance examination. Best wishes to you.
