Candidates cannot join NID Bhopal directly. NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT), aka NID DAT, is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Design (NID). The Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is conducted in two stages:
- DAT Prelims - The candidate first appears in DAT Prelims.
- DAT Mains - Shortlisted candidates have to appear in DAT Mains.
The FINAL result of NID DAT will be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal is a multi-campus affiliating, research university that is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Admission to the BPharma programme at RGPV Bhopal is based on merit, not direct admissions. The selection process for BPharma at RGPV Bhopal is entirely based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and not through any separate entrance exam conducted by the university.
