The AKU Patna BBA reservation policy is designed based on rules of reservation laid by the Government of Bihar. As per the policy, the university reserves 22.5% of the total seats for the admission of the SC/ST category students. The seat reservation breakdown for the SC/ST category is as follows:
- 15%: Scheduled Castes (SC) category
- 7.5%: Scheduled Tribes (ST) category

Once the AKU Patna BCom merit list is released, students who are selected for the course must complete the verification process. In this process, they are required to report to the allocated institute/college and present the following documents:
- Class 10 marksheet
- Class 12 marksheet
- Migration certificate
- School leaving certificate/transfer certificate
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Income certificate (applicable for candidates seeking admission via EWS category)
