The full form of BSW is Bachelors of Social Work. It is a 3-year undergraduate degree. Students who pursue this degree can work in job profiles like social work, education, project management, mental health counselors, etc. BSW graduates can work in government offices, NGOs, or even private sector firms that are involved in social work. A 10+2 certificate from a recognised board is the only eligibility for most colleges. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary for the BSW course. Yes you can pursue MSW course or Master of Social Work course without pursuing a BSW or Bachelor of Social Work course. You should be a graduate to pursue MSW. Make sure that you have secured at least 50% aggregate marks to be eligible to apply for the course. Also ensure that you have studied from a recognised institute. It is not compulsory that you should have completed BSW course to pursue MSW though BSW graduates would be able to better understand cencepts covered MSW course.
