btech Eligibility

Candidates in the following categories may apply to be admitted to Gopalan College of Engineering and Management's (GCEM) B.Tech programs:

1. Candidates who have completed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as required subjects in their 10+2 or comparable exams. Depending on the category, a minimum aggregate percentage of 45% to 60% is necessary. 

2. Candidates with valid exam results who have passed entrance exams such as COMEDK or KCET (Karnataka CET). There are minimum requirements for percentiles.

3. Under the lateral entry program, Diploma holders are eligible for admission to the second year of the GCEM B.Tech program. They ought to have finished a suitable three-year Diploma programme at a polytechnic.

4. If qualifying requirements are satisfied, NRI/OCI/PIO/CIWG candidates may apply for seats at GCEM reserved under this quota.

5. Seats authorized under the Management quota may be granted direct admission; no entrance exam score is required. Typically, eligibility is determined by 10+2 performance.

To pursue technical education in India, an applicant must not only meet the academic eligibility standards listed above, which are set by GCEM, but also all other general eligibility requirements established by regulatory bodies.

Candidates must fulfill particular requirements in order to be considered for admission to the BTech IT program. First and foremost, they need to have passed their 10+2 or comparable exam from an accredited school with at least 50% of the possible points. Prospective candidates also need to have majored in chemistry, physics, and mathematics in high school.A further component of the admissions procedure is the JEE Main 2023 cutoff, which differs for each category.The 90 percentile is the cutoff for candidates in the General Category; for OBC-NCL, it is 74.611; for EWS, it is 74.622; and for SC, it is 51.977. Padmabhooshan Vasantdada Patil Institute of Technology, Pune has set a few eligibility criteria for the aspirants to meet before they apply for B.Tech or any other course.

The candidate must have got Physics and Mathematics as required courses, along with one of the following: Computer Science, IT, Informatics Practices, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subjects, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies. All of these subjects must have been completed with the 45% aggregate from any recognised Board or Council. Candidates from Maharashtra State are required to appear for the MHT-CET. All candidates from India must show up for the either MHT-CET or JEE Main. But JEE Main would be given precedence over MHT-CET.
