btech Eligibility

Prospective candidates aiming to pursue a BTech course need to meet the established criteria set by the colleges. Those who fulfill the eligibility conditions are eligible to apply for the course. Below are the common eligibility requirements for admission to BTech colleges in India:

1. Applicants should have successfully completed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% from a recognised board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. (Note: The pass percentage may vary among different colleges.)

2. Candidates are required to have taken the JEE Main exam and obtained a valid score. It's important to note that colleges may have specific minimum score requirements, so it's advisable to check the cutoff scores for the colleges to which you are applying.

The admission process typically involves online counseling, where students are allocated seats based on their score/rank in the exam, through which the institute extends offers of admission. Some institutes may also incorporate additional selection processes, such as group discussions or personal interviews.

Candidates in the following categories may apply to be admitted to Gopalan College of Engineering and Management's (GCEM) B.Tech programs:

1. Candidates who have completed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as required subjects in their 10+2 or comparable exams. Depending on the category, a minimum aggregate percentage of 45% to 60% is necessary. 

2. Candidates with valid exam results who have passed entrance exams such as COMEDK or KCET (Karnataka CET). There are minimum requirements for percentiles.

3. Under the lateral entry program, Diploma holders are eligible for admission to the second year of the GCEM B.Tech program. They ought to have finished a suitable three-year Diploma programme at a polytechnic.

4. If qualifying requirements are satisfied, NRI/OCI/PIO/CIWG candidates may apply for seats at GCEM reserved under this quota.

5. Seats authorized under the Management quota may be granted direct admission; no entrance exam score is required. Typically, eligibility is determined by 10+2 performance.

Candidates must fulfill particular requirements in order to be considered for admission to the BTech IT program. Padmabhooshan Vasantdada Patil Institute of Technology, Pune has set a few eligibility criteria for the aspirants to meet before they apply for B.Tech or any other course.

The candidate must have got Physics and Mathematics as required courses, along with one of the following: Computer Science, IT, Informatics Practices, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subjects, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies. All of these subjects must have been completed with the 45% aggregate from any recognised Board or Council. Candidates from Maharashtra State are required to appear for the MHT-CET. All candidates from India must show up for the either MHT-CET or JEE Main. But JEE Main would be given precedence over MHT-CET.
