For those destined to become an MBA holder, any graduation will do. Any graduate with 50% aggregate through the clearance of eligibility test such as CAT, MAT, ATMA-AIMS, CMAT, etc. As applicable to the institute of study become eligible for admissions to an MBA programme. For those with a B.Com degree, MBA with Finance or Banking and Finance are good choices.

Normally, a prospective applicant must be a graduate having secured at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognised university and have cleared eligibility test such as CAT MAT CMAT ATMA AIMS or equivalent as applicable to the institute of study. As per CAT 2018 eligibility criteria, a candidate is eligible to appear in CAT 2018, if he/she holds Bachelors Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Able (DA) categories need only 45% marks. Although OBC comes under the reserved category, but its cut-offs are still very high. Your chances for top 10 colleges seem to be very low.

Dear Avik,
In order to study MBA from B-School, you need to clear entrance exam, score good marks in class 12th and graduation. That's it. Your maths will matter least since you are from English (Hons) background. So, go ahead. Hope this helps.

Both are equally good. MBA will require you to be proficient in Accounting, Tally, Excel, and Presentation Skills. For that, I guess BBA is a better option.

It will be around 97.5 percentile (open category) for a safe position. So, make sure that you at least score that much.
