The exam conducted for admission to MBA/MMS programmes offered by state colleges and universities is held in March. The MAH MBA CET registrations are expected to begin in the second/third week of February. What is MAH CET?

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MAH CET is a computer-based management entrance test. Officially known as MAH MBA/MMS-CET, the exam is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to MBA courses in various institutes in the state of Maharashtra. MAH CET MBA is followed by Centralised Admission Process (CAP) on Counselling in which the candidates will be allotted MBA seats in MAH CET participating colleges on the basis of their scores. MAH CET is conducted in March over to days. The syllabus of MAH MBA CET exam includes  – Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. Candidates having valid score of CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA can participate in MAH CET MBA counselling directly, for admission to MAH CET participating colleges.

MAH CET Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have a bachelors’ degree in any discipline from any recognised university with minimum 50 per cent in aggregate ( at least 45 per cent  in case of reserved category candidates)

  • Final year students or ones awaiting their Bachelor's degree result, are also eligible to apply

  • Candidates appearing for CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA are considered to be eligible for admission against the All India Seats subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria. MAH CET exam 2021 will be held in online mode for two and a half hours. The candidates are advised to reach their designated exam centre two hours before the exam starts, to complete the identification process. There are some dos and don’ts for MAH CET exam one needs to follow. Read below:

  • Carry a print out of MAH CET admit card and a photo ID

  • Reach the exam centre two hours before the exam begins

  • Read exam instructions thoroughly and abide by the rules

  • Time yourself and solve the MAH CET question paper accordingly

MAH CET 2021 Don’ts

  • Do not bring prohibited items like mobile phone, calculator, digital watches and other electronic gadgets

  • Do not carry food items to the MAH CET 2021 exam centre

  • Do not use a pen or pencil to the exam centre. Stationery items for rough work will be provided by the exam authorities

  • Do not leave the exam centre without invigilator's permission

MAH CET CAP or Counselling

MAH MBA CET includes counselling which is a centralised process and covered under Centralized Admission Process (CAP). This process is carried out by the State Common Entrance Test Cell for allotment of seats to MAH CET test takers in participating institutes. Students from outside Maharashtra are required to have valid score of CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT(February session)/XAT/ATMA to be eligible to apply for admissions to Maharashtra management colleges under MAH CET counselling.

This counselling process takes place in June and July. The candidates are required to registre for MAH CET counselling processs on Maharashtra CET website. Listed below are key points candidates must know about MAH CET MBA counselling.

  • MAH CET counselling takes place in three rounds for both Maharashtra State and Outside Maharashtra State candidates
  • MAH CET counselling registration fees is Rs 1000 to be paid at the time of filling the application for online

Earlier admission in MCA required you to appear in any of these entrance tests but now lately 2020-2021 no entrance test is required.
