A student must complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university. He/she should get a minimum aggregate score of 55% in graduation (40% in case of SC/ST and OBC students). Clearing cut-off marks in entrance examinations are also necessary for getting admission in all colleges.

If a candidate is from a reserved category, the chances of their getting a seat with a rank over 30,000 or 35,000 in a TS ICET Participating College is quite decent. Unreserved seats will rarely get allotted to a candidate with more than 35,000 rank.

The citizenship criteria may vary. Some institute will insist for only Indian citizens, and some allow others to also apply. Only candidates who have cleared 12th standard need apply. Admission will be on merit basis. Minimum of 55% will be a must. Minimum age normally is 17 years. Some colleges do keep a maximum limit of 25 years.
