According to the consent terms agreed between AICTE and the Association of Indian Management Schools which was submitted to the Bombay high court (HC) on Tuesday, the institutes will also have the liberty to conduct both MBA/MS and standalone PGDM institute as separate entities from the same premises. The consent terms have come after the HC on Wednesday sought an explanation from AICTE after the University of Mumbai (MU) said AICTEs new Admission Process Handbook (APH) which made it mandatory to conduct postgraduate Diploma in management (PGDM) as a standalone course was not feasible at least this year. The foremost difference between both these courses is that PGDM is a Diploma course, while MBA is a degree course. The Diploma programme, I. e. The average GMAT score of admitted students to top MBA programs is 700. JBIMS does not accept GMAT scores for MS course. You need a minimum of 99.93 percentile for JBIMS. JBIMS has further informed For NRI/FN and PIO students will be charged twice the amount of fee for General Students I. e. INR 6 Lacs p. a. It means the 2 years MS programme fee for the NRI/FN and PIO students will stand increased to Rs. 12 Lacs. Good luck.
