The core courses in an MBA programme cover various areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and operations in a manner most relevant to management analysis and strategy. Most programs also include elective courses. Eligibility criteria for seeking admission in majority of B-Schools for MBA/ PGDM is that candidate must be a graduate with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a University recognised by Association of Indian Universities / AICTE/ UGC etc. Candidates appearing final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for MBA/ PGDM programs provided they complete all formalities of the examinations before June July in year in which candidate is planning to take admission.
