Hi,
Start your basic preparation by researching about these exams and checking previous year question papers. If you would like to prepare from home at your own then you need to work a lot harder in finding what is relevant to study as these exams are not just about attempting but knowing what to attempt.
In my opinion, being from Kolkata, you should enroll yourself in one of the coaching classes or may be mock test series which is a must. IEM is the best private engineering college in West Bengal. It has a very good infrastructure. However, the campus is small. IEM is known for its excellent placement records. It has been consistently providing good placements for years now.

No, this is not enough. The percentage for this college is very high, the last cut-off goes up to 80 to 85%. You have no chance of getting admission in this college.
