Besides engineering you may go for medical. But to get chance to take admission in medical is difficult as number of seat is much limited. Still if you are interested in medical study then you should try for it. To take admission in medical you have to appear in medical entrance examination. There is medical entrance examination in a state level. It is proposed that one common medical entrance examination will be there throughout the country. Whatever it may be you should appear in medical entrance examination if you are interested in medical course.
You may also take admission in general B.Sc graduation course with hons in one subject of your interest. Now a days job opportunity after general graduation courses increases. There are so many government posts for which only graduation degree from a reputed institution is required. After completion of your B.Sc you may complete your M.Sc and after that you may try for some job. Physics and chemistry subject is most popular now a days. If you are interested in physics or chemistry you may study this subject in your graduation.
Beside this course you may try for some professional courses like BBA, BBM, BCA, etc. After this type of course job opportunity is good. If you are interested in this type of courses then only take admission in a good institution. Now you have to decide in which course you want to take admission after completion of you 12th other than engineering.

Biotechnology is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for B.E./B.Tech. biotechnology graduates in private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities, but not in the scale in which private sector does. Average starting salary is generally between 2.4 to 5 Lakh Rupees per year. Some prominent industries where Biotechnology professionals may find jobs are- Pharmaceuticals industry, healthcare sector, chemical industry, agriculture sector, food processing and technology as well as research sector. Graduates may also take up teaching job (as lecturer) after completing M.E./M.Tech. program.

Master in Business Administration (MBA) is two years degree course in the field of management. In India, MBA degree can be awarded by any recognised university or by a Business School affiliated to any university. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two years diploma course offered by the institutes that are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and which are autonomous and not affiliated to any university. It is not mandatory that a PGDM is equal to MBA. PGDM institutes accreditation by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) makes an institute's PGDM course equivalent to an MBA.
There are a large number of similarities between the curriculum of both MBA and PGDM. An MBA institute follows a fixed curriculum as it will be based on the university guidelines which occasionally may not be aligned to industry requirements. Autonomous institutes do not follow university standards, so it is have the flexibility to align its curriculum according to industry standards and change in the business environment. Some of the PGDM from IIMs, XLRI etc has more value then MBA. However MBA of FMS DU, IIFT etc have similar value as IIMs. Students are advised to chose Institute based on its ranking not on nomenclature of degree.
