The backlog is a description of your pending subjects. For example, from out of 5 subjects, you passed only 3 subjects then it will mean that you have the backlog in 2 subjects in which you have failed.

Yes, since you are targeting your career in the stock market, pursuing MBA in finance is a good choice with that also go for certain certifications along the side from NSE which will add more value to it.

Even though you must be in one of the NIT's by now, let me answer for benifit of others.
After declaration of results, you have to register yourself on the admission site and fill up all the required data.

Retail is booming in India, it is a huge market, and growing well, coming to the e-commerce management, it has already started in the form of SAP, digital marketing, etc. You can take admission in retail management.

Normally, among the students, aviation management means something crazy but originally, in India, aviation management is not having that much growth. In fact, this specialisation is very narrow, therefore, prefer general BBA and later you can go for MBA from top notch institutes. Still, you can choose the best college.

The demand in NA and OE is slowly and steadily picking up in India, though it still has good demand in major yards in say Poland, South Korea, China and Australia.
We have a few players in the private sector, but then they are still not a big name. Demands will certainly come up in the government sector. In case if by chance you don't get a placement in India, better to get experience for a few years overseas and then come back to India.
