This year, the number of vacancies are going to release for loco pilot and the highest number of vacancies will be from the northern region.
Passenger trains are operated by a Loco Pilot and Assistant Loco Pilot whereas EMU/MEMUs are worked by a motorman (only one staff on board).

You are advised to appear for Joint Admission Test conducted by Indian Maritime University (IMU) to join Merchant Navy. Diploma holders are eligible for junior engineer role whereas degree holders are eligible for senior engineering roles. Therefore, for long-term career as an automobile engineer, you are advised to do PU allowed by B.Tech in automobile engineering over Diploma in automobile engineering after 10th class.
