First and foremost thing, read the newspaper daily. I suggest you Hindu for that. Keep good memory of current affairs. You must know some important aspects of the constitution. Then choose a good coaching institute and work hard.

To become an IAS officer you need to be a graduate. You can pursue any degree including, BA, B.Sc., BBA, MBBS or B.Tech. So, choose your subject of interest and get a graduation degree with good profile and prepare for IAS.

You cannot join merchant navy by appearing for NDA exam. Recruitment for Indian Navy, Army and IAF as a Commissioned Officer is done through NDA exam. Lot of Indian Navy officers move to merchant navy after few years of service by seeking premature retirement.

MBA after BSW is a good option. MBA will open lots of career opportunities for you including managerial roles in NGO if you want to pursue your interest in social works.

After completing class 12th with PCM, you can pursue B.Tech or BE. You can also try to qualify for JEE Mains exams to get a decent college.

If you are interested in acting, then you should take part in dramatic society in your school and you can take arts or commerce stream. After completing your class 12th, you should try to join any theatre group, and then you can join NSD or Pune Institute of Acting.
You can do Bachelor in mass communication program for sound knowledge of media and related field.
