B.Tech in CSE is the most preferred option to become a software engineer after completing class 12th. Indian IT industry also recruits software engineers with B.Tech IT, ECE, MCA and M.Sc CS / IT educational qualifications. It is difficult to compare IAS with PGDM from top IIMs. Both, are highly competitive and few brilliant candidates can crack these examinations. IAS will definitely reach to minimum level of Additional Secretary of GOI and will be in position to impact society by policy formulation and its implementation.
But, the salary will be lesser, but perks will be very high. If you have social empathy and will to contribute to society, then IAS is a career for you. MBA from legacy MBA will give you opportunities to have high salary corporate jobs, but poor quality of life. Based on my government and corporate experience, I can say that difference
