If you have more time in hand for learning, definitely join a 2D course first , if you expertise in 2D and 2D animation , than definitely you have added advantage, further you join a long term 3D animation course , which will boost your career.

Hey Pankaj,
It's good to see you confident that you can crack JEE after two years of preparation. But having 2 years of gap in your studies will harm you in your career. It is suggested to take admission in some top private universities as it will give you better results than dropping 2 years. You should look out for some best universities and apply for them. Some suggestions -

You can look for Post Graduate Degree /Masters degree in related fields such as -
1. Film and Visual Cultures
2. Visual and Material Culture
3. Film and Media Studies
4. Visual Communication Design
5. Visual Effects etc
You can study whatever you like, you simple need some clarity over your career which will help you decide.

Hi Sarbajit,
Salary is a function of various factors - i.e. (i) the institute where you have completed your B.Tech + M.Tech. e.g. a graduate from a top institute will command a higher salary. (ii) Your work experience - organization and type of work profile (iii) city - a metropolitan city will have higher salaries as compared to smaller cities and towns. (iv) Your current organization - i.e. where you will be joining - an MNC usually has higher salaries as compared to other organizations. (v) Your work profile i.e. Manager/ AVP, etc. Thus one cannot allocate a figure.
