Yes IT is a lucrative field at present. It offers nice placements as well since IT industry is growing at a fast pace. You do can make a good career if you have the skills in you. Your credentials looks nice. You are eligible and a JEE Score of 100 should land you a nice college. Please go through the list of engineering colleges on Shiksha to know which suits your needs best.

In your case you should complete your MCA and than go for either NET or Phd . After wards you will get the growth in both the ways ( Salary and Position ) too. Even you can apply to colleges for teaching.
