As a commis chef you're on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef. In most kitchens you'll do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a chef de partie or section chef, rotating through sections such as sauce, vegetables, fish and butchery roughly every six months.
The primary objective of the commis chef is to learn how to work in every area of the kitchen. In order to accomplish this, a commis chef rotates throughout the kitchen, spending six months or so at one kitchen station before moving on to a different one. At each kitchen station, the commis chef has the opportunity to learn from a different senior chef who is in charge of that area. As a commis chef develops their skills as they rotate throughout the kitchen, they will consider which area they want to eventually specialize in.

Beauticians work in beauty parlours, beauty clinics in hotels, health resorts, TV, Film industry, in fitness clinics, with cosmetic firms as sales consultant. Fashion and advertising offer scope to the beautician and the hair stylist. They also work in sports clubs, leisure centres, department stores, cruise ships and hotels. Some self-employed beauty therapists work in their own homes and/or visit clients at home.
Beauticians and make-up artists with beauty parlours: earnings vary with location and clients. For models /film star makeup the payment is by the day/hour. For TV Films modest Rs 1500 - 2,500 for a day's work to Rs 7,500 and much more.
