Very-large-scale integration (VLSI) , generally as Chip designing is the process of creating an integrated circuit (IC) by combining thousands of transistors into a single chip.
VLSI began in the 1970s when complex semiconductor and communication technologies were being developed. The microprocessor is a VLSI device.
VLSI design is a dynamic profession where careers can be highly satisfying as they focus on innovation in a rapidly changing environment. This field offers immense growth prospects for competent, hardworking people and keen learners.
You can choose between various job roles such as design engineer, chip architect, production engineer, testing or process specialist, physical designer or circuit designer. On the other hand if you want to pursue Ph.D you may take up research in the hardware or software development and testing domains.

Some of the top universities at international level offering industrial design courses include : Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University offering Bachelor's in Industrial Design, University of Houston offering Bachelor's degrees in Industrial and Product Design, Montclair State University offering Bachelor's degrees,Massachusetts College of Art and Design offering Bachelor's degrees in Industrial and Product Design, and Associate degrees in Graphic Design, Ferris State University offering Bachelor's degrees in Industrial and Product Design, Clemson University offering Bachelor's and master's degrees available in industrial design, Auburn University offering Bachelor's and Master's degrees in related areas and ofcourse Carnegie Mellon University through their school of design. In India few courses are available at some IITs including the one at Mumbai. There are private players as well offering certificate courses. UPES. A travel / tourist guide's job is both delightful and challenging. A tourist guide has to make the tourist spots aesthetically appealing, whether it the narrow and filthy lanes of a historical city or the striking landscape of Himalayas.
To become an approved guide, you have to pass entrance exams. The Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management conducts guide training on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism.

-Regional level guides are trained by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India through the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) or their chapters.-Since there are acute shortages of guides speaking some of the foreign languages such as Chinese, Russian, Korean, Thai, Arabic, Hungarian, Polish, Hebrew etc., linguists with specialized qualifications/proven skill and fluency in these languages may also be approved as Part-Time guide. Part-time Guides can hold regular employment in any other field other than in shopping establishments. They would however, undergo an abridged special training of 8 weeks successfully before they are certified as guides.
-The guide training course should be held by IITTM minimum once in two years.
The following educational qualifications and age limit are prescribed for
the direct selection of guides:
- Minimum: Graduate of a recognized University or three years degree holder in tourism/ Hospitality from a recognized University/Institute
-Fluency in English language is essential.
-Preference would be given to candidates having knowledge and fluency in a non-English foreign language.
