A commercial pilot can fly for hire. This would include instructors, crop dusters, glider tow pilots, and some charter pilots. It requires more than 200 hours flight time and more basic knowledge and skills.
An air transport pilot can fly airliners with a crew and passengers on a scheduled time. This is a much more complicated license requiring a more stringent physical examination, and some very demanding flight examinations.

This depends on the selection policy and the level that you apply for. Some airlines will require some customer service experience. This can be in any type of situation that brought you into contact with the public in some capacity. Usually, if you can demonstrate in your interview that you are aware of and can perform effective customer service, you are considered qualified. However if you apply for a senior post of a flight pursuer etc then experience is a mandate.
