1. You must have completed your 12th grade in biology.
2. Afterwards, you will have to do an MBBS degree.
3. To gain admission to MBBS, you must take the NEET UG exam.
4. After doing MBBS, you will have to do an MD in psychiatry. It is a postgraduate level course.

Both psychologists and psychiatrists deal with mental health issues, but their approaches are different. The difference is:
- The psychiatrist studies for a medical degree to become a doctor of medicine (M. D. in Psychiatry). They have to appear in the NEET UG exam to attain MBBS and are called doctors.
