No, it will not hamper your admission. Prepare well for the GD-PI-WAT round. Be prepared for justifying the reason for the break in a well-versed manner and all shall be well! All the best!

Dear Sourav,
not only requires one to be good in maths but also good in reasoning and current affairs. So as you say that you are not good in mathematics, I would advise you not to for CAT. However, if your accounts and taxation are good, you could definitely go for CA course. even CS if you like. It is just a rumor that CA and CS are hard. They are not hard, just a bit lengthy.

It's good to see your awareness and seriousness towards cracking a management entrance exam so early. Still, in the first year, there is ample time for you. You can start improving your vocabulary by reading good novels/books and newspapers daily(especially the editorial columns). Solving some good logical puzzles and related questions will also help in keeping your mind fit and sharp. Nothing much needed to do for Maths, as of now. just ensure your basic concepts are strong. 1-1.5 hours is quite sufficient to prepare for the time being.
One important thing, there is absolutely no need to start a full-fledged preparation for CAT(or any

Hi Pradnya, it depends upon your kind of work and how you are able to manage time between CAT preparation and job. If you're able to devote around 3 hours for studying CAT on weekdays, then it should be enough.

Hello,
Apologies for the late reply. On join coaching for CAT during your final college year, it will be a bit difficult to manage both your college studies and CAT preparation. Also various B-schools give significant weight age to your graduation score, so don't let CAT studies affect it. Rather you can take a year gap after your exams and study properly for it.
