You should be in the range of 98-100% if you're targeting IIM-K. They see your past academic records as well your entrance exam marks. So make sure you do well in CAT.

1. Quantitative Aptitude : This covers the following as Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Commercial Mathematics and Miscellaneous
2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning : This covers the following as Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Sufficiency.

Yes, it will be beneficial for you, if you give one of the above exams. Because through this only you can get into good B-schools. Yes, there are also having some schools where they take admission irrespective of any score card. My personal suggestion is please avoid those Schools, it will be better for you. Your money will not be wasted.
