Yes, you will definitely get a call from TOP IIMs. To prepare for CAT, study hard any daily practice 4 to 5 hours in a day and also give a mock test to practice well.

Yes, it is a compulsory process of any IIMs. Your CAT score is not enough even if you get 99 percentile.

In CAT, competition is more because any student who has done graduation can give the exam whereas in GATE, only B.Tech students can give.

If you score really good in CAT and other exams like NMAT, MAT, etc., then maybe you will get a call from a decent college and if GD and PI go well, maybe you will get admission. But there is a very thin chance.
