For IIMS, the competition is very stiff. The CAT score should be more than 95 percentile.

Hello Vishnu,
Good to see your interest in CAT for preparation. You can refer some past year question papers booklet, also keep yourself updated with current affairs, work more on English, reasoning and aptitude and for better preparation you can join any coaching classes. Good luck for your presentation ahead.

This is relative. So, one cannot predict fall pattern for this year. This could also move up as it is relative to all candidates performance irrespective of the cut-off once should try to score 95 + percentile to secure admission in top 20 institutes.

Yes, it affects, but the amplitude depends on college to college. Each college provide their respective weight-age on their website example IIM Indore gives very high weight-age to your past academics (even more than CAT whereas IIM Kozhikode gives a low weight-age to past academic record. So, you can check on each college website what are their weightage for past academics and prepare accordingly. This would help you to keep realistic goals.

Yes, it is a good option to do but being good and skilled in that particular field is more important than college.
