You can attempt GMAT, a score around 650-700+ is good enough to get calls from good institutes like Great Lakes and ISB-Hyderabad. Good performance in GD/PI with good work profile will get you through.

If you want to do MBA from a good college then you must appear for entrance exams like CAT, CMAT, etc. Some good colleges also have their own entrance exams.
If a college takes you without any entrance exam, don't go for those colleges as they are not good.

TIME Institute is the best option for the preparation of CAT exam as they provide good guidance. They also conduct model exams every week and once the syllabus is over, every day they conduct model exams for 2 to 3 weeks.

I would recommend UEM-Kolkata as per your location as this is a private college and many have their own exam for qualification and the University of Engineering and Management provides the best infrastructure with good placement assistance with low fee structure.

A minimum of 75-80% marks is required to get shortlisted for GD-PI. Rest, their trends change every year. All the best.

It is relatively easy for engineering students because of good mathematics. As CAT tests your verbal and analytical reasoning ability, so, your engineering background will be helpful for you. You may download the syllabus and previous year question papers from any IIM website to get some ideas about the CAT.
