B.Tech students have advantage of strong quantitative aptitude, so they are good with numbers. Despite of choosing other courses, if your quant is strong, one can score better and hold good positions.

3 to 4 months are good enough to prepare for CAT exam, if you spend 6 to 8 hours daily in preparation. But, to be honest more than preparation hours, it is about the study material and your understanding.

You try and appear for other competitive exams during the year. With this percentile, it's difficult to get admission in any institute.

It is a very good score, though you won't get calls from top 5 IIMs. You can still get calls from other IIMs, you can wait for them or you can apply for colleges like BITS - Pilani, SP Jain, etc.

Yes, from this year onward sectional cut-off scores will be considered before shortlisting for WAT/PI process.
An 80 percentile in all three sections and an aggregate of 90 percentile will be required by a general candidate to receive WAT/PI call.

2. BITS – Pilani.
3. TAPMI.
4. SP Jain.

2. SP Jain.
3. Welingkar.
