You will have to opt for PCB, if you wish to become an agro-inspector.
Agricultural Inspectors require a high school diploma or GED at the minimum. Many positions prefer an associate's degree in biology, animal science, agricultural science, or another related field. However, some positions prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree in similar majors.
In addition, Agricultural Inspectors will likely go through in-depth job training, becoming better acquainted with the many government regulations regarding the production and processing of food.

This is a myth that state board students are weaker as compared to CBSE and ICSE ones. But the reality is strikingly opposite, in fact people from state board are going for IITs. So, don't get disheartened, prepare for it. As far as the eligibility is concerned you need to be in 20 percentile to get into IITs.
